Abstract

Meanwhile, several wood entrepreneurs/craftsmen in Kendal district still use conventional models in their production. This causes some productions whose designs are quite complicated and complex, requiring 10-12 hours of completion time for engraving products. This requires technical expertise regarding entrepreneurs/wood craftsmen, resulting in reduced interest in the younger generation to continue this wood craft business. Changes in the pattern of working on wooden craft products from previously only relying on hand craftsmanship (fully handmade) to being technology and mechanization-oriented so that the development of new handicraft products develops to support progress and competitive advantage in their respective regions. Therefore, technology is needed, especially the use of CNC (Computer Numerical Control) based router machines, to be introduced to entrepreneurs/wood craftsmen. The Innovation Dissemination Program with the theme "Innovation in the Development of CNC Machines for processing wood products and carvings" was carried out as a solution to increase the knowledge of groups of entrepreneurs/wood craftsmen in Kendal Regency. The method used is the presentation or delivery of material and discussion. The results of this activity indicate that the enthusiasm of the participants/targets/partners for this activity is very high because of the large number of questions asked in detail and technically regarding the use or application of this 5-axis CNC router machine so as to achieve an increase/knowledge of entrepreneurs/wood craftsmen in the Kendal Regency.
