EDUKASI KEAMANAN DIGITAL BAGI SISWA SEKOLAH DASAR MELALUI PROTOKOL STOP-PIKIR-CEK

Abstract

Elementary school students increasingly interact with online games, social media, and messaging applications, but they do not always possess adequate knowledge to protect personal information, identify fraudulent links, respond to cyberbullying, and create secure passwords. This community service program aimed to strengthen digital-safety literacy among fifth-grade students of SDS Wawasan Nusantara, West Jakarta. The activity was conducted face-to-face on 12 May 2026 and involved 20 students from class V-B. The method combined an interactive lecture, visual presentation, contextual examples, question-and-answer activities, a secure-password simulation, and the Stop-Think-Check protocol. Evaluation used oral sampling before and after the activity and direct observation of the password exercise. In the initial sampling, two of three students correctly identified phishing links and protected personal data, while one of three selected an appropriate response to cyberbullying. In the final sampling involving ten different students, all ten correctly answered the phishing and personal-data questions, while nine answered the cyberbullying question correctly. Participants also practised creating passwords using uppercase and lowercase letters and numbers without easily guessed personal identifiers. These findings indicate improved response accuracy in the final sampling, although the non-equivalent respondents and small samples do not support causal or inferential claims. The school contributed facilities, participant coordination, and teacher assistance. Visual posters and digital learning materials were provided for follow-up use. Periodic reinforcement, parent involvement, and equivalent pre-test and post-test instruments are recommended.
