PELATIHAN BRIKET DAN BUSINESS MODEL CANVAS UNTUK KEMANDIRIAN EKONOMI MASYARAKAT JAGAPURA KIDUL
Abstract
Jagapura Kidul Village in Cirebon Regency is situated in an agricultural area where rice-processing activities can generate rice husk residues. When this biomass is unmanaged, it has limited economic value and may be disposed of or burned without productive use. This community service program combined technical training on rice-husk biochar briquette production with Business Model Canvas training to connect waste utilization with a feasible village business model. The activity employed participatory training, demonstration, hands-on practice, group discussion, and mentoring. The technical session covered raw-material preparation, controlled carbonization, charcoal size reduction, starch-binder preparation, mixing, molding, drying, and basic quality observation. The entrepreneurship session guided participants to map customer segments, value propositions, channels, customer relationships, revenue streams, key resources, key activities, key partners, and cost structure. The program produced a structured briquette-production workflow and a preliminary Business Model Canvas for a community-based briquette enterprise. The student KKN output book was also used as a practical reference for production, safety, quality control, management, and marketing. Quantitative indicators such as participant numbers, pre-test/post-test scores, product yield, and follow-up production frequency should be inserted from field records before publication. The integrated approach is expected to strengthen technical capability, entrepreneurial thinking, and the basis for community economic self-reliance through locally available agricultural biomass.
